During the excavation of the Rowailbari fort at Rowailbari Union of Kendua Upazila of Netrokona, the structure of an ancient mosque was unfurled. It is believed that it was built during the Sultanate period. But it was renovated during the Mughal period. The mosque was a 15-dome mosque. On the west wall there were 5 mihrabs. The walls of the mosque were about 7 feet wide. The mosque is built by Chun Suraki. On the wall of the mosque was a variety of designs. There were 12 gateways to enter the mosque.
To see this historic place, you can go from Netrokona to Roiwal Bari Union of Kendua upazila by bus or CNG. The site is located near the Rowailbari Market.
